  What You'll Do:
  
  • In collaboration with the requesting departments, source supplies, services and equipment that meet the requirements of the department while also optimizing pricing and supply chain requirements.
    
  • Manage purchase requests over the identified limit to ensure multiple bids are obtained.
    
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best quality, price, and delivery scheduling for approved expenditures.
    
  • Follow established procurement policies, procedures, and practices.
    
  • Attend planning meetings related to projects. Coordinates purchasing and installation of new equipment. Verifies inventory control labeling and correct location of equipment.
    
  • Maintain a procurement management system that efficiently processes requests, issues purchase orders, organizes receipt of goods information, and maintains stocked item distribution in conjunction with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate accounting.
    
  • Research purchasing information, generate reports, and present information as requested by leadership.
    
  • Implement changes to support process improvements, corporate projects, and the organizational goals of YVFWC.
    
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement departmental policies, and reporting.
    
  • Oversees the maintenance Work Order for equipment repair and maintenance for the organization.
    
  • Provides Recommendations for equipment repair and replacement.
    
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    
    Qualifications
    
    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
      
    • Three years' experience in materials or project management, two of which are in purchasing.
      
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time.
      
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to be able to assess an issue and recommend solutions.
      
    • Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills with individuals and groups.
      
    • Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
