Position Summary
The Restorative Aide assists in the identification of Restorative
needs of the individual residents. Develops plans to meet the
residents' needs; consults with physical therapists, nursing staff
and the resident's physician as indicated. Initiates the care plan
by appropriate communication with all disciplines involved in the
residents' care, assesses the resident's needs and recommends care
practices in conjunction with the nursing staff, RCM, and CNA. The
Restorative Aide specifically addresses range of motion,
ambulating, positioning, mobility, transfer and lifting practices,
and eating. They may need to assist CNAs on the floor as the
workload demands, as well as other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Provides direct Resident care within the certified nursing
assistant's scope of practice.
- Ability to communicate to the RN any observed change in
Resident's status and responses such as pain, vital signs or intake
and output.
- Provides appropriate care for geriatric age and diagnosis(es)
of Resident.
- Provides explanation to Residents (and family if applicable)
prior to administering care and answers question within scope of
practice.
- Maintains technical skills and knowledge by attending CNA
skills workshops, completing computer based training assignments
and other required trainings.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of
Nursing Services, Resident Care Manager, and Administrator.
- Maintains self-motivation and sustains a high level of
momentum.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts.
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to complete tasks in
a timely manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally
and in writing.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced
production-oriented environment.
- Expresses excellent judgment, discretion and decision making
abilities.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and
positive patient experience.
- Ability to prioritize, highly organized.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, CMS,

- Proficiency with Gmail and Google Applications.
- Is knowledgeable of equipment within the units such as lifts,
patient beds, chairs and (glucometers CNA II).

manner at all times. Education, Experience &
Certification/Licensure
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of related work
experience.
- Active and unencombered Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure
through the Oregon State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified by the American Heart
Association (AHA) Preferred:
- Working experience in Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Private
